The programmer for the hot water and heating in this customers house was right at the back of the property in a rarely accessed utility room. No wiring was in place to move the position & a newly refurbished kitchen prevented us to put any wiring in.
No problem.
I fitted a Honeywell RF programmer & thermostat. They now have a wireless thermostat with simple + & - symbols for the heating, which they can place in any room e.g lounge during the day & the bedroom or landing at night. And I set up the hot water programs which all automatically adjust as & when clocks go back & forwards.

A very simple job that required more time listening and planning than installing.
Starting another lived in rewire.
This floor is to be exposed boards (no rugs or carpets) so it was important to take the necessary time to use my Chatsworth skills of pencil line cuts, applying pressure methodically and vibrating the boards loose.
I also cleaned out the floor space after drilling my straight holes as well. It's the attention to detail when no one is watching that separates the professionals from the rest, and it's proper connections and removal of combustible materials that prevent fires.
One of my recent jobs, I'd been asked to investigate why some downlights weren't working. The job was rural so I'd brought new light fittings from my stock room just in case.

Upon inspection I discovered that it was only a transformer but the existing wiring was inaccessible from below with bad joints above. Also very short cabling making maintenance needlessly difficult, connectors in tape (the tape had started coming off as it always does and two connectors pulled straight off with ease).

So with the customers permission I rewired it all, replacing the hot halogens with less hazardous led downlights and a fan isolator so that when their 15+ year old basic on/ off fan stops working they can have a timed or humidity one installed with ease.
